Wednesday, September 17, 2009 - Don't wait to vaccinate against the flu!
H1N1 Flu (“Swine Flu”) has been circulating in the Sacramento region all summer, and regular seasonal flu will be starting soon. Sacramento County Public Health has just released a ready-to-use newsletter story authored by Sacramento County Health Officer Glennah Trochet, M.D. that can be used in company newsletters. The article discusses the importance of getting flu shots and lists all the flu shot clinics Public Health is offering October 9-November 5. You can download a PDF of the newsletter story here: http://tinyurl.com/o7nc4h
Public Health also has many resources available to the business community, including a tool kit produced by the Centers for Disease Control to help businesses prepare for employee absences if H1N1 flu cases escalate significantly. You can access it by visiting the Sacramento County Public Health web site at www.SCPH.com and clicking on the H1N1 Swine Flu graphic.
